Mapacho is a strain of Tobacco (Nicotiana Rustica) cultivated in South America, offering a bold and powerful energy that is used in Hapé to ground, as smoke to pray, and whose leaves can be used as offerings. 

Tobacco is an Ancestor, a Grandfather, and a beloved food for Spirit and Ancestors. Many indigenous cultures from Turtle Island, South America and the Caribbean place Grandfather as an essential medicine to connect with the unseen realms and receive healing. Prayer and respect is a must when connecting with this Plant Teacher.

༶ burn on a charcoal tablet to pray, open ceremony, invoke Spirit, and ground the space

༶ smoke Mapacho (rolled or in a pipe) to pray (hold the smoke in your mouth and blow it in a specific direction, on your body, over tools, or throughout a space)
